Woodland Beauties.

This was a shoot I did a year or so ago in collaboration with Marianna of Marianna Ah Quin Photos. It was so much fun to do something so out of the ordinary for me. Personal work is always the best -- it challenges me while still giving me freedom to try out different/new things. Revisiting this shoot got me itching to do more styled shoots and work on personal projects that I've been dreaming up in my mind recently.

Alysha.

Hawaii is a very special place for Alysha and Nick. They have gone through a lot together, making lasting memories along the way. So even though she wasn't very far along in her pregnancy, we decided to do a maternity shoot before they left the island to document what a true and wonderful blessing this unborn baby is to them. Their one last Hawaiian miracle. Through everything that could have gone wrong, this baby pushed through. Though all the odds were against them, this miracle happened. Even after everything that they went through, Alysha and Nick had the best and most positive outlook. I have never seen a better example of faith and perseverance. and strength. It takes a strong woman to have a smile on her face and to keep going each and every day after everything they have gone through together. Truly, truly an inspiration. We love you, Alysha and Nick (and baby). You are always in our prayers.
